First SW in ages and it was blowing with a vengeance. I was first down the beach and first out on the water, though it took 3 attempts to get through the high tide shore dump. Though it was a fair size out back it wasn't as big as it normally gets here.

After a few play safe runs I started to drop down wind to the cleaner waves by the river mouth but soon payed the price with several runs through the spin cycle when stalled in no wind.

All in all an excellent day. I didn't try anything flash as this was my first day in big waves since cracking a rib earlier this year, but I got some big jumps and reasonable rides and left with a smile on my face. Even someone running into the back of my car on the way home didn't spoil it.
